What is Craftathon?
Craftathon is a 36-hour hackathon where student teams compete across five technology biomes — EdTech, DefenseTech, GreenTech, SafetyTech, and HealthTech — to solve real-world problem statements.
When and where is Craftathon 2026?
Craftathon 2026 is held at Gandhinagar University, Gujarat, India. The event runs for 36 hours starting March 21, 2026. It is an in-person, offline hackathon.
Who can participate in Craftathon?
Craftathon is open to all college students. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program. Teams of 2–4 members are encouraged.
Can first-year students participate in Craftathon?
Yes! Craftathon welcomes students from all years, including first-year students. There is no minimum year requirement — if you are enrolled in a college or university, you are eligible to register and compete.
How do I register for Craftathon?

What is the team size for Craftathon?
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Solo participation is not allowed. All team members must be registered students.
What are the five biomes in Craftathon?
The five biomes are: (1) EdTech — transforming education through technology, (2) DefenseTech — innovations for national security, (3) GreenTech — sustainable solutions for a better planet, (4) SafetyTech — technology that keeps people safe, and (5) HealthTech — improving healthcare through innovation. Each biome has its own set of problem statements.

How much is the prize pool for Craftathon?
The total prize pool is up to ₹50,000. In addition to cash prizes, all participants receive certificates, and mini-game winners get exciting goodies. There are also valuable networking opportunities with mentors and industry experts.

What technology stack can I use?
Participants are free to use any programming language, framework, or technology stack. There are no restrictions on tools or platforms used during the hackathon.
